Effective Use of Products Supplied by Fireman Axe Manufacturers

A firefighter’s job is not easy. Not only do they have to risk their lives trying to rescue people and decrease the damage caused by fire outbreaks, they have to take quick decisions at the right time. Fire fighters are equipped with different kinds of equipment, many of which ae supplied by truck manufacturers and dividing breeching manufacturers. The tools used by a firefighter can be broadly classified into:

  1. Engine tools- Exemplified by hose, nozzle and related fittings.
  2. Ladder tools- These include ladders, lights, power tools etc.
  3. Hand tools- This includes all the tools that can be used for striking, prying and pulling.

A fireman axe belongs to the striking hand tool category, and comes in different varieties with different weight and shape. The ways to use these tools effectively are discussed below.

  • When given an option to choose between an axe with a wooden handle or a plastic handle, the wooden one should be picked. This is because wood is more resilient and easy to maintain.

  • Checking the general state of the axe is very important. In general, fireman axe manufacturers supply products that are certified according to safety standards, but it is important to maintain them well. Any cracks, chipping or wear and tear should be promptly attended to.

  • While an axe is primarily used to force open obstructed passages, it can be used for a lot of other purposes, for example, to wedge a door to prevent its closure. It is a good idea to know alternative uses of one equipment.

  • Using different strength and force on the axe for impact will have a different effect. Knowing about the different ways to use the axe like smashing, cutting etc. will allow a more effective use of the axe.

The points discussed above illustrate how a single piece of equipment can be used more effectively. These points are especially important for emergency services where every minute is precious.
